What's new in 5.5?
Enriching Metadata Capture for Investigations and eDiscovery
inSync 5.5 collects and preserves the recommended EDRM metadata attributes - creation date, date last saved, file size, file type, file path, data last accessed, file owner information, and SHA1 hash codes. By enriching inSync’s existing metadata attributes, enterprises can better determine the origin, context, authenticity, and distribution of electronic data across the organization and endpoints for internal investigations, compliance, and legal admissibility purposes.

Delegated Admin Roles and Granular Admin Rights
To help customers manage large inSync deployments and adhere to the many regional user data privacy standards, inSync 5.5 offers three new administrative roles of “Data Protection Officer”, “Help Desk Admin” and “View Only Admin”. Additionally, customers can now define and manage their own administrative roles from a set of granular administrative rights to suit their privacy policies.

Increased Visibility and Control Over Endpoints, Data and End-User Activity
SD (Secure Digital) card backups: IT can now mandate SD card backups on Android-based smartphones and tablets to protect against any loss or breach of endpoints.
Outlook email backups using MAPI (Optimized for efficiency): inSync 5.5 adds the option to exclude Outlook data files (.PST and .OST) for email backups that utilize the MAPI interface thereby giving IT admins more options to save on bandwidth and storage usage.
Downloading Audit Trails: inSync 5.5 now gives the option to download user audit trails (CSV or HTML format) to enable customers to import them into their own custom analytics tools for reporting, audit, and compliance purposes.

inSync Share 5.5 Enhancements
Auto-Purge of inSync Share User-Deleted Content: inSync 5.5 Share now delivers the ability to auto-purge inSync Share user-deleted content with controls to set the frequency of deletion to efficiently manage storage.
File Exclusion: IT can exclude files from syncing across users and devices. To learn how to exclude files from syncing, contact Druva Support (support@druva.com).
Quick Start Guide Customization: Administrators can provide a link to a custom Quick Start Guide for inSync Share end users in their organization catering to their specific needs.
