Upgrade the inSync Client

Overview

This topic explains how you can upgrade the inSync Client to the latest version.

Upgrade to v6.6.0 on macOS is supported from versions 6.5.x, as specified in the upgrade matrix.

Your administrator can configure the inSync Server to upgrade the inSync Client automatically on your laptop.

If your administrator has enabled show Druva icon in the system tray for you, the inSync Client icon disappears from your system tray during the upgrade and reappears after the upgrade is complete.
If your administrator has enabled desktop notifications for you, the inSync Launched message appears after the inSync Client upgrade is complete.

The following table lists how you can upgrade the during the inSync Client upgrade on Windows and Mac laptops.

Operating System	Upgrade Instructions
Windows	Install inSync Client 6.6.0 on top of your existing inSync Client version. For more information, see Install and activate the inSync Client.
Mac	Prerequisite: Ensure the current inSync Client version on your laptop is 6.5.x. Install the client v6.6.0 over the existing 6.5.x version. For more information, see Install and activate the inSync Client.
