Restore data from Shared Data Sources  

You can now restore the device data of preserved users if your administrator provides you with the required permission. The shared data sources can be restored from {{insyncweb}} to the configured devices.

In continuation to the fix that was provided with inSync Client v6.6.0, this release provides a complete fix for the security vulnerability wherein an attacker could have exploited the improper neutralization of special elements used in OS commands to gain administrative access on the system.

inSync Client patch update v6.6.3 for Windows

A patch update v6.6.3 is released on April 21, 2020, for Windows OS. It has the following enhancements -

Extended capabilities to support Amazon WorkSpaces

With this patch update, the following capabilities are released to support Windows provisioned Amazon WorkSpaces -

  • Ability to map multiple drives on the user device to their assigned Amazon WorkSpaces - Enables inSync users to access their protected data from multiple drives on their device on Amazon WorkSpace account.

  • Option to failback to the user’s device with complete data under protection - Enables inSync administrators and users to safely migrate or restore the data back from Amazon WorkSpace to the original user device.

Committed to providing the best user experience and customer satisfaction, Druva is happy to announce inSync Client v6.6.0 for Windows and macOS with the following new capability.

Support for Spanish language

Starting February 14, 2020, you can start installing the new client in Spanish locale if that’s your preferred language.

With this addition, inSync Client is now available in English, Japanese, French, German, and Spanish languages to cater to the users with language diversity.

Upgrade to inSync Client v6.6.0 on macOS is supported only from inSync Client v6.5.x.  If your device is running on inSync Client version older than v6.5.0 on macOS, please upgrade to inSync Client v6.5.x. See Upgrade the inSync Client for upgrade steps.
