Restore mails, mailbox, contacts, and calendar using inSync Web

 

Overview

If your inSync administrator has enabled web restore for you, you can restore mailbox, calendar entries and contacts from inSync Web. Restore helps you to gain access to emails in case of accidental deletion or when you have changed your device and want to access emails from your previous device. 

Procedure to restore mailbox

  1. Open the inSync Web.
  2. On the inSync Web menu bar, click Data Sources. Your data sources are displayed on the left pane.
  3. Click the cloud app from which you want to restore.
  4. Click Mails and then click Restore.
  5. From the Time Period list, select the time period for which you restore the emails. If you want to restore for a specific time period, select Custom from the list and then specify the date range for which you want to restore the mailbox.

  6. (OPTIONAL) Select the Include In-Place Archive Mails check box if you want to restore archived emails. 
  7. Click OK. The data restore starts. A restore window appears. You can view the progress of data restore.
    Emails will be restored in a folder named inSync Restore inside your mailbox.

Procedure to restore individual mails

  1. Open the inSync Web.
  2. On the inSync Web menu bar, click Data Sources. Your data sources are displayed on the left pane.
  3. In the search box, search for the emails that you want to restore.

  4. Click Restore
    All emails will be restored to a folder named inSync Restore inside your mailbox.

Procedure to restore contacts

  1. Open the inSync Web.
  2. On the inSync Web menu bar, click Data Sources. Your data sources are displayed on the left pane.
  3. Click the cloud app from which you want to restore.
  4. Click restore for Contacts.
  5. Click OK to confirm your selection. The data restore starts. A restore window appears. You can view the progress of data restore.
    The selected item will be restored in a folder named inSync Restore.

Procedure to restore calendar

  1. Open the inSync Web.
  2. On the inSync Web menu bar, click Data Sources. Your data sources are displayed on the left pane.
  3. Click the cloud app from which you want to restore.
  4. Click restore for Calendars.
  5. Click OK to confirm your selection. The data restore starts. A restore window appears. You can view the progress of data restore.
    The selected item will be restored in a folder named inSync Restore.
