Changing the network bandwidth availability for backup

Setting optimum network bandwidth for backup

During backup, inSync client consumes your network bandwidth while transferring data from your backup folders to the inSync server. Your inSync administrator usually assigns bandwidth as an absolute or percentage value. However if your administrator assigned to you the appropriate rights, you can assign bandwidth as a percentage value. inSync client uses the lesser of the two values for data backup.

Note: inSync client requires a minimum bandwidth of 16 Kbps and 64 Kbps to ensure backups over WAN and LAN respectively. If you set bandwidth as a percentage value, make sure that the bandwidth does not fall below the minimum required values.
