Configuring Network Bandwidth Used During Backup

Overview

Explains what the feature is or what its benefits are to the user or customer.

Changing bandwidth

Typically, your inSync administrator assigns the bandwidth for inSync backups. If your administrator assigned to you the required permissions, you can change the bandwidth used for backup.

Note:

<webengagedata/>

  • If your inSync administrator set the bandwidth as a percentage value, inSync client calculates the bandwidth as an absolute value before a backup. If the available bandwidth fluctuates during backup, inSync client continues to use the same bandwidth.
  • If your inSync administrator did not give you permission to modify backup resources, the Max. bandwidth used slider appears to be set to maximum value. To see the actual bandwidth consumed, see the inSync client log files.

To change the bandwidth

  1. On the Summary window, click Preferences.
  2. Under Resources, move the Max. bandwidth used slider to reflect the bandwidth.
  3. Click Save.
