Reports

This topic explains the types of reports generated by inSync and contains instructions for viewing and receiving reports.

Types of reports

This table lists the types of reports that inSync supports.

Report Description
Active Alerts Displays active alerts for a specified period. Active alerts are alerts that are yet to be resolved.
Alert History Displays all alerts generated for a specified period.
Failed Backups Displays all backup activities that failed during a specified period.
Last Backup Status Displays the status of the last backup during a specified period.
Restore Activity Displays all backup activities during a specified period.
Sharing Usage Displays the share statistics.
Storage Status Displays the statistics and alerts for all storages during a specified period.
Complete Report Displays system information, license information, server statistics, and so on.

Viewing a report

To view a report

  1. On the menu bar, click Reporting Reports
  2. Click the report that you want to view.

The report for the last 30 days is displayed. Use the Period drop-down menu to filter the report. 

Receiving reports

Downloading a report

You can download a report in HTML or CSV format.

To download a report

  1. On the menu bar, click Reporting > Reports
  2. Select the report that you want to download:
    • To download the report in HTML format, click Download > Download HTML.
    • To download the report in CSV format, click Download > Download CSV.

The report is downloaded to your computer.

Emailing a report to self

You can schedule a report to be sent to you in HTML or CSV format through an email.

To email a report

  1. On the menu bar, click Reporting Reports
  2. Select the report that you want to email:
    • To email the report in HTML format, click Email > Email HTML.
    • To download the report in CSV format, click Email > Email CSV.

The report is sent to your email address.

Scheduling delivery of reports

You can schedule an email delivery of reports. The schedule you create will be specific to you and will not affect the schedule for other administrators.

To schedule delivery of a report through email

  1. On the menu bar, click Reporting Reports
  2. Select the report for which you want to set a schedule and click Edit Email Schedule. The Email Schedule window appears.

  3. Check Enable Email Schedule check box and do the following:
    • Select a frequency for delivery. 

    • Specify a frequency for weekly and monthly delivery.

    • Specify a time of report delivery.

    • Select a format of the report.

  4. Click Save.
