Upgrading inSync client installed on a user's laptop

Why upgrade inSync client?

With every new release of inSync, a new version of inSync Client too is released. The new client contains fixes for issues identified in the previous releases and support for the new functionalities in the latest release. Therefore, to take advantage of the new features and the fixes, you must upgrade the inSync Client installed on user laptops.

You can trigger inSync Client upgrade on user laptops from the inSync Admin Console. Alternatively, you can provide the latest inSync Client installer to the users and ask them to upgrade inSync client on their laptops.


To upgrade the inSync client installed on devices

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the devices on which you want to upgrade the inSync client.
    Note: The upgrade symbol (upgrade.jpg) next to the inSync client indicates an earlier version of the client. You can select such instances for an upgrade.
  3. Click Upgrade.
