AD Mapping Details page

Overview

This topic explains the AD Mapping Details page in-detail.

AD Configuration

The following table describes the fields in the AD Configuration area:

Field Description
Name The name to identify the mapping.
AD server The server on which the AD resides.
Base DN The base distinguished name of the active directory.
Organizational unit The organizational unit in the AD from which user details have been imported.
AD group The AD group from where the user details have been imported.
Department The department from where the user details have been imported.
Country The country from where the user details have been imported.
Name to be used for creation The name type used for creating the user. The options are common name (cn) and logon name.

The following table describes the fields in the inSync Configuration area:

Field Description
Profile The profile that is assigned to the users who are imported through the AD mapping.
Storage The storage that is assigned to the users who are imported through the AD mapping.
Quota per user The user quota assigned to the users that are created through the AD mapping.
Auto create/update Users

The method used to import user details from the Active Directory.

Enabled: The user details are retrieved once every 24 hours from the AD.

Disabled: You have to manually import user details from the AD to create them.
