About Settings page

This page contains a brief description of the fields that appear when you set up your inSync server. 

Email

This section contains a brief description of the fields that appear under the Email tab.

Email Setup

The following table describes the fields in the Email Setup area:

Field Description
SMTP server The SMTP server for the email ID that inSync server uses to send messages. 
SMTP port The port used by the SMTP server. The default value is 25.
SMTP username The email ID that inSync server uses to send messages. 
Use secure connection Indicates whether TLS/SSL required for email communication is enabled or disabled.

Email Message Customization

The following table describes the fields in the Email Message Customization area:

Field  Description
Reply to The reply-to email address of the inSync server. 
Sender name The sender name for emails sent by inSync server.
Signature The signature that appears on emails sent by the inSync server. 

Network

This section contains a brief description of the fields that appear under the Network tab. 

Network Settings

The following table describes the fields in the Network Settings area:

Field Description
Backup/sync port The port through which inSync server receives backup and share data from inSync clients. The default value is 6061. 
Admin UI port The port used to access the inSync Admin Console. The default value is 6065. 
HTTPS access to Admin Console and End-User Restore UI Indicates whether HTTPS access for inSync Admin Console is enabled or disabled. If selected,  you must upload the SSL certificate and key required for communication over HTTPS.
User web access port

The inSync server uses the configured port for processing HTTPS requests to accept restore requests. The default port is 443. 

 

User web access URL

The URL in the <IP address for inSync Server>:<User web access port> format for accessing inSync Web. 


Note: As a good practice, do not change the path. If you must, change the IP address or the port only.
User Activation URL The inSync server URL for activating inSync client.
Restricted networks for backup/sync The data networks restricted during backups and sync.

Server IP/FQDN

The following table describes the fields in the Server IP/FQDN area:

Field Description
IP/FQDN address The IP address or the fully qualified domain name inSync server.
TCP port number The backup/sync port of the inSync server.
Network type The network for communicating with the inSync server. 

Edge Servers

This section contains a brief description of the fields that appear under the Edge Servers tab.

The following table describes the fields in the Master Edge Server area:

Field Description
Enable edge server for my master Indicates that the Master server is configured to work with inSync Edge Server.
IP Address/FQDN The IP address or the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the edge server.
Backup and sync port The port used by inSync clients to communicate with the edge server.

AD Accounts

This section contains a brief description of the fields that appear under the AD Accounts tab. 

Registered AD Accounts

The following table describes the fields in the Registered AD Accounts area:

Field Description
Host The host name of the AD.
Port The port used for accessing the AD. 
Username The name of the user accessing the AD. 

AD Settings

The following table describes the field in the AD Settings area:

Field Description
Auto sync interval The frequency of adding or updating users from AD. By default, the period is set to 24 hours.

Mass Deployment

The following table describes the fields in the Mass Deployment area:

Field Description
Activate first device only during deployment

Indicates that inSync client will be activated on the first device only. 

Mobile Credentials

The following table describes the fields in the iOS Device Management area:

Field Description
APN certificate Indicates that an APN certificate is loaded. 
APN details The details of the APN certificate.
SSL certificate Indicates that the SSL certificate is loaded.
SSL details

The details of the SSL certificate. 

Hostname The host required for publishing a URL to which inSync server publishes profile details. These details are accessed by inSync Companion App.
Port The port required for publishing a URL to which inSync server publishes profile details. These details are accessed by inSync Companion App.

Co-branding

The following table describes the fields in the Co-branding area:

Field Description
Company name The name of your company. 
Company logo The logo of your company as a 40*40 pixels PNG image no greater than 32 KB in size. 
Help link for user

The URL to the location from which inSync users can access inSync Help.

Note: To use the default inSync help, leave this field blank.
Support contact information

The email ID for contacting your Support team. 

Analytics

The following table describes the fields in the Audit Trail Retention Policy area:

Field Description
Retain admin audit trail for The duration for which the admin audit trail is retained. 
Retain user audit trail for The duration for which the admin audit trail is retained. 

inSync License

The following table describes the fields in the License Summary area:

Field Description
inSync license The type and the expiration date of inSync license. 
License edition The edition of the license.
Users The number of users covered by the license.
Guests The number of guests covered by the license.
Analytics license The type and the expiration date of Analytics license. 
Share license The type and the expiration date of Share license. 
DLP license The type and the expiration date of DLP license. 
Product version The version of the product. 
Licensed for server Id The server ID.
