Defining audit trail retention policy

About audit trail retention policy

The audit trail feature allows you to track the operations of users and administrators of inSync. Audit Trail records are retained for a specific period of time based on the option selected.

By default, the audit retention period for a user and an administrator is 30 days. On defining the audit retention period, the time period to view user and administrator activities is matched.

For example, the default retention period to retain administrator activities is 30 days. The time period list for the administrator will include the following options: Today, Last 7 days, and Last 30 days. If you change the default retention period to 6 months, the changes will immediately reflect in the time period list of the administrator. You will now see 6 months added to the list in addition to the already available options.
