Activating inSync client on a user's laptop

Why activate inSync client for a user?

Consider the following scenarios:

  • Your organization's policy requires you to provide laptops to new hires after installing and activating relevant software
  • You are replacing a lost device.

In scenarios such as these, you must activate inSync client on user's device.

Note: You can activate inSync client on Windows or Mac laptops. Users with Linux laptops must activate inSync client themselves.

Step 1: Download authentication key for the user

To download authentication key for a user

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage > Users.
