Modifying storage properties

Changing the storage name

To change the storage name

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage > Storage.
  2. Under the Storage List tab, click the storage to modify.
  3. In the Summary area, click Edit. The Edit Storage Summary window appears.
  4. Enter the new name for the storage.
  5. Click Save.

Changing the storage consumption alert threshold

To change the storage consumption alert threshold

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage > Storage.
  2. Under the Storage List tab, click the storage to modify.
  3. Under Summary tab, in the Data Storage Details area, click Edit. The Edit Storage Details window appears.
  4. Specify the new storage consumption alert threshold.
  5. Click Save.

Changing the maximum parallel connection to a storage

To change the maximum parallel connection

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage > Storage.
  2. Under the Storage List tab, click the storage to modify.
  3. Under the Performance & Compaction tab, in the Performance area, click Edit. The Edit Storage Performance window appears.
  4. Enter the new value for the maximum parallel connection. You can set this field to a maximum value of 500.
  5. Click Save.

Changing the compaction schedule of a storage

To change the compaction schedule

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage > Storage.
  2. Under the Storage List tab, click the storage to modify.
  3. Under the Performance & Compaction tab, in the Storage Compaction Schedule area, click Edit. The Edit Storage Compaction window appears.
  4. Enter the following details:
  • From the Compact daily at drop-down menu, select the new start time and enter the new duration.
  • From the Compact weekly on drop-down menu, select the new day for weekly compaction.
  • From the Compact weekly from  drop-down menu, select the new start time and enter the new duration.
  1. Click Save.
