Overview

This topic explains the Storage Details page in-detail.

Summary

ManageStorages_Summary.png

The following table describes the fields in the Summary area:

Field Description
Storage Status The health of the storage.
Provisioned Users The total number of users linked to the storage.

Disk Space Used

The amount of space being utilized on the storage.

Max. Size

The amount of data that the storage can contain.

Usage Growth

The following table describes the fields in the Usage Growth area:

Field Description
Share Data The amount of data from the inSync Share folders from user's devices.
Backup Data The amount of data from the backup folders from user's devices.

DB Data

The amount of data in the database folder of the storage.

Storage growth in last 1 month In graphical representation, the amount of data that has changed in the storage during the last 30 days.

Diskspace Savings

ManageStorages_DiskSpaceSavings.png

The following table describes the fields in the Diskspace Savings area:

Field Description
Dedupe Ratio The ratio between the storage space occupied by the backup data after deduplication and the storage space required to store the same data without deduplication. For example, the storage may contain 1 GB of data. However, because of deduplication, only 341 MB of disk space is being occupied in the storage. The deduplication ratio is then 1:3.
Diskspace Savings The amount of storage space saved because of deduplication.
Total data vs. disk space In a graphical representation, the amount of data stored in the storage against the actual storage space occupied because of deduplication.

Details

The following table describes the fields in the Details area:

Storage Information

General Storage Information

The following table describes the fields in the General Storage Information area:

Field Description

Storage name

The name of the storage.

Storage type The type of storage.
Storage node name The storage node with which the storage is associated.
Data folder

This is a non-editable field. The folder where backup data is stored.

Max. disk space The maximum data that can be stored in the data folder.
Storage consumption alert threshold The disk space threshold for the storage beyond which alert messages are sent to inSync administrators informing them about low disk space availability.

Performance

The following table describes the fields in the Performance area:

Field Description
Database folder The folder containing the inSync database. It must be different from the data folder if the storage disk space is 1 TB or more.
Database log folder The folder containing the log files for all the transactions happening in the inSync database. It must be different from the data folder if the storage disk space is 1 TB or more.
Max. parallel connections The maximum number of parallel connections permitted to the storage.

Hypercache

The buffer memory used to improve the I/O performance of the storage. It is 0.4% of the storage size.

This field cannot be modified.

Usage Statistics

The following table describes the fields in the Usage Statistics area:

Note: These fields cannot be modified.
Field Description
Provisioned users The number of users linked to the storage.
Space allocated for data The amount of data that the storage can contain.
Disk space used for data The amount of data present on the storage now.
Deduplication ratio The ratio between the storage space occupied by the backup data after deduplication and the storage space required to store the same data without deduplication. For example, the storage may contain 1 GB of data. However, because of deduplication, only 341 MB of disk space is being occupied in the storage. The deduplication ratio is then 1:3.
Total full backup data size The sum of all snapshots for all users associated with the storage.
Total incremental backup data size The sum of data backed up by all users associated with the storage without considering deduplication.
Current usage The ratio between the amount of data present in the storage now and the amount of data the storage can contain.
Database size The amount of data in the database folder of the storage.

Hypercache hit rate

The frequency at which the files in the hypercache are accessed during backups.

Storage Compaction Schedule

The following table describes the fields in the Storage Compaction Schedule area:

Field Description
Compact daily from The start time and duration for the daily storage compaction. For example, you may configure the compaction to start every day at midnight and continue for the next 6 hours. The compaction process for the storage will stop at 6:00 AM even if it is not complete.
Compact weekly on The scheduled day for weekly compaction for the storage.
Compact weekly from The start time and duration for the weekly storage compaction.
