Uninstalling inSync Private Cloud

Overview

This section explains how to uninstall inSync Private Cloud.

Step 1: Deleting all users, storages, and storage nodes

Before you uninstall the storage nodes and master server, delete all users, storages, and storage nodes.

Step 2: Uninstalling inSync storage nodes

Before you begin, stop inSync Private Cloud application.

Uninstalling inSync storage nodes on Windows

To uninstall the storage node

  1. From the Start menu, select All Programs > Druva inSync Storage Node > Uninstall Druva inSync Storage Node.
  2. Click Yes.

Uninstalling inSync storage nodes on Ubuntu

Before you begin, run the following command to know the version of the installed storage node:

dpkg --get-selections|grep druva

To uninstall the storage node

  • Run the following command:
sudo dpkg -r druva<version>

Uninstalling inSync storage nodes on RHEL

Before you begin, run the following command to know the version of the installed storage node:

dpkg --get-selections|grep druva

To uninstall the storage node

  • Run the following command:
rpm -e <package_name>

In the above command, <package_name> represents the file name (along with the extension) of the .deb package.

Step 3: Uninstalling the inSync master server

Before you begin, stop inSync Private Cloud application and uninstall all inSync storage nodes.

Uninstalling inSync master server on Windows

To uninstall the master server

  1. From the Start menu, select All Programs > Druva inSync Storage Node > Uninstall Druva inSync Storage Node.
  2. Click Yes.

Uninstalling inSync master server on Ubuntu

Before you begin, run the following command to know the version of the installed master server:

dpkg --get-selections|grep druva

To uninstall the master server

  • Run the following command:
sudo dpkg -r druva<version>

Uninstalling inSync master server on RHEL

Before you begin, run the following command to know the version of the installed master server:

dpkg --get-selections|grep druva

To uninstall the master server:

  • Run the following command:
rpm -e <package_name>

In the above command, <package_name> represents the file name (along with the extension) of the .deb package.

Step 4: Deleting the master server configuration files

Before you begin, ensure that inSync master server has been uninstalled.

Deleting configuration files on Windows

To delete configuration files on Windows

  1. Go to the location where you had installed the inSync master server.
  2. Delete the following files:
    • C:\inSyncCloud
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Druva

Deleting configuration files on Ubuntu and RHEL

To delete configuration files on Ubuntu and RHEL

  1. Go to the location where you had installed the inSync master server.
  2. Delete the following files:
    • /etc/inSyncCloud
    • /opt/Druva
    • /var/log/inSync
