Introduction to Druva inSync for Public folder

Overview

Is your organization migrating the on-premise Public folder to Cloud along with Microsoft 365 migration?

Supported Office 365 Editions

Druva inSync supports the following Microsoft Office 365 editions:

  • Enterprise

Required roles and permissions for access to Public folders Edit section

inSync requires the following permissions to access and protect Public folders data:

  • Reviewer

  • Owner

Druva inSync administrator with one of the following roles can configure Druva inSync to protect Office 365 data:

  • Druva Cloud administrator

  • inSync Cloud administrator

  • Any inSync administrator with role and privileges to manage Cloud Apps

Use cases 

As a Druva inSync Cloud administrator,

  • You can protect your Public folders' data using a single pane of glass.

  • You can discover all Public folders, Mails and Posts, Contact, Calendar within the Public folders and protect them.

Assume that you have inadvertently deleted some important data from Public folder A that you have already backed up using inSync. You now have an option to download the deleted data from the backed up snapshots available within inSync. Isn’t it cool?
