Activity details page for SharePoint Online




Overview
As a Cloud admin, you can get a more detailed insight and view about the state of Subsites, Document Library, List, Files, Folders for each backup and restore activity using the new Activity Details page. This view will help you restore data in case of accidental deletion and ensure business continuity.
You can see the following details:

Summary of the backup and restore activity

An actual count of the number of new, updated, and deleted Subsites, Document Library, Lists, Files, and Folders that were backed up successfully

An actual count of the number of successful and failed restored Subsites, Document Library, Lists, Files, and Folders
-
The listing of failed Subsites, Document Library, Lists, Files, and Folders that were not backed up or restored
-
Consolidated logs to highlight the failure reasons
Activity Details page
Provides a summary and detailed view of backup and restore activities of all the SharePoint Online contents (Subsites, Document Library, List, Files, and Folders).
Access Path for Backup Activity Details
On the inSync Management Console menu bar, click Data Sources > Microsoft 365. The Overview page is displayed. Click Sharepoint Online to view the Last Backup Status. The Last Backup Status link opens the Activity Details page for the backup activity. You can access the Activity Details page from any of the following:

SharePoint landing page: Click on the Last Backup Status to view the backup activity details.

Summary tab: Click on the Status to view the backup activity details.

Activity Stream: Click on the Status to view the backup activity details.
Backup Activity Details 
Use the Activity Details page to get a granular view of added, updated, deleted, and failed backed up SharePoint Online data.

Details of the type of backup activity performed.

Status |
Status of the backup activity performed.

Total Size |
Displays the total size of the latest snapshot. For example: Let’s say the total size for the first backup was 10 MB. Now, you add a file of 2 MB and initiate a backup. The total size in the latest snapshot is now shown as 10 MB (Total size in earlier backup) + 2 MB (Incremental backup size) = 12 MB. |
Error Code |
Shows the error with a link to error details for Backup Failed status. Shows hyphen (-) for the Backed up Successfully and Backed up with Errors statuses. |
Site Title |
Shows the title of the SharePoint Online site. |
Administrator |
For manual backup: Name of the administrator who has initiated the backup or restore. For scheduled backup: A dash (-) is displayed. |
Start Time |
Displays the start time when the backup was initiated. This is as per the admin timezone setting. |
End Time |
Displays the end time when the backup activity is completed. This is as per the admin timezone setting. |

Total Items Scanned |
The total items within your SharePoint environment for which inSync attempted backup. For example: Let’s say there are 2 Document Library (DL1 and DL2) with 100 files each in your Sharepoint environment. There is some issue accessing DL2. Now, when you initiate a backup, inSync performs a scan on both the DL1 and DL2 (Total items scanned is two), however, the total files scanned is only 100 (For DL1). The count includes the following SharePoint Online content:

Count of newly added items in this backup activity. |
Updated |
Count of the updated items in this backup activity. |
Deleted |
Count of the items deleted from the last backup. |
Failed |
The count of items for which the backup activity failed. Click on the failed item to view the list of failed backup content. You can also download logs to view the consolidated logs for identifying failure reasons. |

Restore Activity Details 
Use the Activity Details page to get a granular view of successful and failed restored SharePoint Online content.

Total Items |
Displays a count which is a summation of all the items that need to be restored. Total items: Total count of each type of content (Subsites, Document Library, and so on) that inSync is trying to restore in the current activity. The count includes the following SharePoint Online content:

Successful |
The count of items for which the restore is successful. |
Failed |
The count of items for which the restore failed. Click on the failed item to view the list of failed backup content. You can also download logs to view the consolidated logs for identifying failure reasons. |
