Overview

This article provides you graphical information on the various entities on your inSync Dashboard page. 

Note: Graphical information is displayed based on the inSync license your organization has subscribed to, and the administrator role assigned to your account in inSync.

For example, Legal Hold and Compliance information is displayed to you based on the following conditions:

  • Your organization has purchased inSync Elite or Elite Plus License.
  • You are a Cloud Administrator.

Recommendation

inSync Dashboard is best viewed in 1366*768 resolution.

You see the following page when you access the inSync Management Console:

Global Navigation Panel

On the top-left corner of the page, you can access the Global Navigation Panel by clicking the Druva logo logo.png.
The Global Navigation Panel provides the navigation to the Druva products and administration section.

If you are a Druva Cloud administrator, you can:

  • Add, edit, or delete inSync, Phoenix, or other Druva Cloud administrators
  • Set up a password policy
  • Set up SSO for administrators
  • Set up geofencing (block login requests from unauthorized networks)

Notifications

inSync, by default, displays notifications for important updates like recent Cloud Update and action like - A second administrator is not configured. Notifications are displayed at the bottom-left corner on the inSync Management Console dashboard.

Search User

You can search for user information in inSync by typing their user name or email address in the Search box located at the top-right corner of the inSync Dashboard page.

Users and Storage Summary

The Summary section displays the following information:

  • Active users and licensing consumption
  • Storage allocation and consumption
  • Number of user profiles

The following table lists the fields in the Summary section.

Field Description

Active Users

Active Users: The total number of users activated for backup in your inSync setup.

Total License: The total number of licensed users, that you can create in inSync.

Preserved Users

Preserved Users: The total number of inSync users for whom inSync backups are disabled.

Preserved License: The total number of preserved licenses allocated to your inSync account.

Data Usage

Data Usage: Total data in inSync storage

Data Allocated: The maximum data inSync can store.

For example, Data usage = 45.15 GB  and Data Allocated = 2 TB indicate that 45.15 GB data is currently stored in the inSync storage although the storage has a capacity to store 2 TB of data.

Note: Data Usage also includes total data stored for Cloud Apps accounts.

User Profiles  The total number of profiles created in your inSync setup

Device Backup Summary

The following table lists the fields in the Device Backup section.

Field Description
Device Enabled The total number of devices activated and enabled for backup.
Windows The number of devices running on the Windows operating system.
Mac The number of devices running on the Mac operating system.
Linux The number of devices running on the Linux operating system.
iOS The number of devices running on iOS.
Android The number of devices running on the Android mobile operating system.
Backup Failed The number of devices for which the last backup failed.
Inactive The number of devices that did not communicate with the inSync Master for a specific period or have been deactivated.
Backed Up With Errors The number of devices for which the last backup completed with errors.
Never Backed Up The number of devices that were never backed up.
Backed Up Successfully The number of devices for which the last backup was successful.

Office 365 Backup Summary

The following table lists the fields in the Office 365 Backup section.

Note: Cloud Apps option is available for inSync Elite and Elite Plus editions only.

Field Description
Exchange Online The number of Exchange Online accounts configured for backup.
OneDrive The number of OneDrive accounts configured for backup.
SharePoint Sites The number of SharePoint Site collections configured for backup.
Backup Failed The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup failed.
Backup Throttled The number of cloud apps accounts for which the backup paused due to throttling errors such as HTTP 429 or HTTP 510. 
Backed Up With Errors The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup completed with errors.
Never Backed Up The number of cloud apps accounts that were never backed up.
Backed Up Successfully The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup was successful.

G Suite Backup Summary

The following table lists the fields in the G Suite Backup section.

Note: Cloud Apps option is available for inSync Elite and Elite Plus editions only.

Field Description
Gmail The number of Gmail accounts configured for backup.
Drive The number of Drive accounts configured for backup.
Shared Drives The number of Shared Drive accounts configured for backup.
Backup Failed The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup failed.
Backup Throttled The number of cloud apps accounts for which the backup paused due to throttling errors such as HTTP 429 or HTTP 510. 
Backed Up With Errors The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup completed with errors.
Never Backed Up The number of cloud apps accounts that were never backed up.
Backed Up Successfully The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup was successful.

Box Backup Summary

The following table lists the fields in the Box Backup section.

Note: Cloud Apps option is available for inSync Elite and Elite Plus editions only.

Field Description
Box Users The number of Box user accounts configured for backup.
Backup Failed The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup failed.
Backup Throttled The number of cloud apps accounts for which the backup paused due to throttling errors such as HTTP 429 or HTTP 510. 
Backed Up With Errors The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup completed with errors.
Never Backed Up The number of cloud apps accounts that were never backed up.
Backed Up Successfully The number of cloud apps accounts for which the last backup was successful.

Live Activities

Track and monitor the ongoing backup and restore activities across the data sources through the Live Activities tracker.

The following table lists the fields in the Live Activities section.

Field Description
Device Backups The number of backup activities that are in progress on devices.
Cloud Apps Backups The number of backup activities that are in progress on cloud apps.
Live Restores The total number of restore activities that are in progress.

Note:

  • Pending restore requests older than 30 days are not displayed on Live Activities page.
  • Pending restore requests older than 30 days are automatically canceled by inSync. Information about such auto-canceled requests is available in Restore Activity report.

Legal Holds

The following table lists the fields in the Legal Holds section.

Field Description
Legal Hold Policies The number of legal hold policies created in inSync.
Custodians The number of users added to the legal hold policy.

Compliance

Field Description
Compliance Policies The number of compliance policies created in inSync.
Non Compliant Users The total number of users whose data is checked for compliance violations.

Data Distribution

This section provides information on the inSync storage utilized by your organization. The data distribution information is further classified by the following categories, which help you analyze the utilization:

Profiles

Select Profiles in the Data Distribution section to view the storage consumption by profiles.

Field Description
Profile Name Name of the inSync profile.
Percentage Percentage of the total data stored by users associated with the profile.

File types

Select File types in the Data Distribution section to view the storage consumption by the file types backed up in inSync.

Field Description
File Type The list of different file types backed up in inSync.
Percentage Percentage of the total data consumed by each file type backed up in inSync.

Data Sources

Select Data Source in the Data Distribution section to view the storage consumption by data sources configured in inSync.

Field Description
Data Source Name The list of different data sources through which data is backed up in inSync.
Percentage Percentage of the total data backed up through each data source.

Daily Backup Trend

Analyze the data backup and restore trends across all the workloads over a period of 30 days.

The chart displays the distribution of activities in 24 hours based on backup and restore activities that occurred over the past 30 days. It helps you understand the activities during a particular hour in a day.

Note: The data is displayed is as per the time zone of the inSync administrator.

Data Usage

The Data Usage chart displays the bandwidth savings for the period of the last 90 days.

The following information is displayed on the chart. 

Field Description
Total Data The total data that is generated.
Bandwidth Savings The percentage of bandwidth saved based on the data transferred.
Data Transferred The actual data transferred over your network to inSync Cloud.

Data Loss Prevention

The following table lists the fields in the Data Loss Prevention section.

Field Description
Devices Traced The total number of devices that Data Loss Prevention is tracing. The location of the traced devices appears as dots on the World map.
Encrypted The total number of devices on which the backup data is encrypted.
Auto Delete Enabled The total number of devices on which the data in the backup folders is automatically deleted if these devices do not connect to inSync for a specific number of days.
